RHODE ISLAND SUMMER HOCKEY LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP
In December, 1999, the
Rhode Island Summer Hockey League, under the direction of Don Armstrong, made
a commitment to the Coaches Association to donate $1,000.00 each year for five
years, to the Scholarship Fund
to supplement the amount raised via the gate receipts from the Scholarship Games.
THIS Summer OF 2006 marks the 8th year that the Rhode Island Summer Hockey League
has honored this commitment.
THIS YEAR the donation to the fund has been increased up to $1,500.
The League's generosity
constitutes an affirmation of
their cooperation with the Coaches Association to acknowledge
Rhode Island high school hockey players for;
~participation in this exciting sport that we all love,
~good and fair sportsmanship,
~the decision to be active citizens of the
school community, and for
~their decision to advance their education!
